Select Your Time Slot

Purpose: Schedule a school supply drive and Winter clothing drive. 8-10 hrs per event commitment on an average. Scope: School supply drive in July- donation organization TBD, will be given Winter Clothing Drive in October- Donation Organization TBD- Will be given Coordinate with Team Compassion Lead and ED to get the dates and event drive finalized Create Flyer and get it approved by ED Create a volunteer registration form for the event. Set up an event at the end of the drive to Sort and pack the items and deliver them to the organization. You can coordinate with Youth groups and make them do it as an activity as well. Volunteer hours needed to be checked and signed off.

Purpose: Schedule 2 events per year with NourishUP warehouse to help them pack boxes for needy or any other Group Opportunity they may have to help represent Pillars. 8-10 hrs per event commitment. Scope: Coordinate with their NourishUP event lead with timeline, and necessary steps for volunteers to proceed Coordinate with Team Compassion Lead and ED to get the dates and event drive finalized Create Flyer and get it approved by ED Create a volunteer registration form for Nourish up and guide them through the event. Volunteer hours needed to be checked and signed off.

Purpose: Lead a drive to support Welcome Home CLT 2-3 times a year with Hygiene supplies or any other necessary items they would need. 8-10 hrs per event commitment, not including the time of event. Scope: Coordinate with their event lead with what is required, timeline, how many bags/ packs to be filled Coordinate with Team Compassion Lead and ED to get the dates and event drive finalized Create Flyer and get it approved by ED Set up an event at the end of the drive to pack the items and deliver them to WelcomeHome CLT. You can coordinate with Youth groups and make them do it as an activity as well. Volunteer hours needed to be checked and signed off.

Purpose: Lead for this project is supposed to connect with One blood for 2 drives in a year. Timeline to be worked with Team Compassion Lead and Pillars ED. It will be on a Sunday. Coordinate with one blood for digital flyer. Total commitment is around 8-10 hrs for each drive not including the time during the drive We as Pillars and from Islamic scholars view, do not believe in taking gifts for blood so have to let One blood know that we cannot advertise any gifts for blood drive so the flyer needs to be edited to reflect that. Scope: Work with ED and Facilities manager to make sure parking has 4 spots are allotted for the bus Awareness for donors and why it is important. Marketing Volunteers needed around 2-4 to help set up and guide the donors, answer any query, help walk ins, and restroom availability. Drive time 1pm-5pm. Can be flexible Need to take some pics for the media and newsletter. Donors need to eat and drink prior to donating Volunteer hours need to be checked and signed off
